Application for Local Group Presenter Travel Grant
In recognition of the costs, particularly to more isolated groups, of
financing activities in their areas, a grant of up to $100 is available
for the travel expenses of an outside presenter to travel to a local SOF
group. A maximum of $1,000 per year for the country has been voted for
the fund. The criteria are as follows:
- The grant is for travel expenses only
- The maximum available is $100.00
- A group may obtain one or more grants per financial year
(1 July—30 June) provided that
the total amount of all grants for that
group does not exceed $100.00 for that year. However, if one
application is not successful, a Group may still submit new or amended
applications until their allocation for that year is used up or the fund
as a whole is exhausted;
- The leader of the Group must complete the
Application Form below and send it to the Treasurer at
this address at least one month prior to the event date.
- The form must be signed by two members of the Local Group, one of whom should
be the current Group leader. Those signing must be financial members of
SoF(NZ) and in good standing;
- There is no restriction on who may attend the talks financed through the assistance of
the grant. It is expected the talk would be SOF initiated and the sponsorship of the
network acknowledged via publicity about its activities and underlying ethos.
- Should the talk be cancelled any travel grant received should be refunded in full SoF(NZ).
- If, in the opinion of the Treasurer, the application is acceptable, the Treasurer will
be requested to forward a cheque to the Local Group.
